Three communities. One local Lions club.
We carry the Coldbrook name, but our invitation reaches across the wider district — Coldbrook, Cambridge, Waterville and beyond.
Coldbrook
Home base for our breakfasts, events, meetings and year-round service work.
Cambridge
Home of the Valley Drive-In, our most visible project and a key source of local fundraising.
Waterville
Families, businesses and supporters here help shape our future projects and impact.
Volunteer opportunities that fit real life
Whether you can give two hours, one evening, one project, or regular support, there is a place for you.
- Social Media & Storytelling: Posts, photos, reels and stories showing what Lions do across our district.
- Valley Drive-In Advisory: Marketing, event, finance or tech ideas to guide this Cambridge community asset.
- Event Helpers: Breakfasts, bingo, drive-in nights, markets and fundraisers — great for occasional help.
- Sponsorship & Outreach: Connect local businesses with ways to sponsor, advertise or give.
- Grant Writing & Funding: Research funding, draft applications and prepare project reports.
- Technology & Website: Website updates, online forms, email lists and volunteer sign-ups.
- Youth & Family Programs: Activities that welcome families, schools and young people into service.
- Facilities & Hands-On Help: Setup, cleanup, repairs and drive-in or hall project work.
- Governance & Leadership: Join a committee, shape priorities or mentor newer volunteers.
You can volunteer without overcommitting
One of the biggest barriers to volunteering is fearing that saying yes means saying yes to everything. We want to change that.
Small, specific, realistic help goes a long way — one event shift, one monthly task, one committee, or advice from your experience.
“Bring the time you have. Bring the skills you have. Bring the ideas you have.”
Here are few of the projects where we need your help
A wide variety of projects and events serve, entertain and bring people together.

How to get started
Tell us your interests
Let us know what you enjoy, what skills you have, and how much time you realistically want to give.
Try one small role
Start with one event, one task, one committee conversation or one project. No pressure to do everything.
Grow from there
If it feels right, you can become more involved over time — as a volunteer, committee member, project lead or Lion.
Questions people often ask
Do I need to become a full member right away?
No. You can begin by helping with one event, one project or one specific task.
What if I only have a few hours?
That is exactly the kind of help we welcome. Small, realistic commitments make a difference.
Do I need to live in Coldbrook?
No. We welcome volunteers from Coldbrook, Cambridge, Waterville and surrounding communities.

We'd love to hear from anyone who cares about keeping local service strong — neighbours, business owners, students, retirees and past volunteers alike.
